<chaser> sorry for missing the last meeting, and I'm unsure I can attend the next, so I want to give feedback on item 4.c now.

<chaser> > <yetanotherminer> I think kayaba‘s proposal could be pushed to a later time. The higher price tag was justified by competing priorities and urgency but given rolling DNS and tevadors PoP proposal, finality layer exploration could happen in the future

<chaser> yetanotherminer "I think kayaba‘s proposal could be pushed to a later time ... given rolling DNS and tevadors PoP proposal, finality layer exploration could happen in the future": I don't see how that justifies pushing it back. nobody submitted a CCS for rolling DNS checkpoints or PoP. besides, these are temporary band-aids [... too long, see

<chaser> if a Monero-native finality layer will ever be designed, agreed to, implemented and deployed, I estimate it will take at least ~1.5--2 years from start to mainnet. this is the kind of issue that should have been explored years ago. the further this is delayed, the greater the risk that at some point the tide goes out and we'll be caught swimming naked much harder than we are now.

[CCS Proposals] Boog 900 opened merge request #611: Boog900 full time work on Cuprate (3 months)

<chaser> delaying this and hoping at some point Kayaba will ever have so much less work (lol) where they'd say "alright, I'll do it for 50%" is delusional from a market perspective, and reckless from a security perspective.

<chaser> any criticism of this proposal should address the author's competence or the proposal's scope. absent that, I call for merging it and making available for funding.

I forgot to comment at the last meeting about 604, I was going to say I thought that chaser's post on that CCS idea was a great perspective, addressing many points and painting a cohesive picture

<mancimlami:matrix.org> Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in the right room, but I'm new to Monero and I just wanted to know how I can add money to the wallet without doing the whole KYC or ID thing. Are there any services? I'm from the EU and I would like to use something like paysafecard to charge it
-
br-m
<ct:xmr.mx> Do you have any other crypto? Then its the easiest to use a swapper service such as trocador.app
-
br-m
<ct:xmr.mx> If you want to swap euros directly, haveno could be an option. Its a decentralized p2p trading platform, but I am not sure if they support paysafe cards
-
br-m
<ct:xmr.mx> Haveno is the software name, the correct network is retoswap:
retoswap.com

<fiatdemise:matrix.org> The pull request for multi recipient URI has been updated with new format:

<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Who can update this wiki page with the new format? What's the process for that?

<ofrnxmr> @fiatdemise:matrix.org: Why? This seems wrong

<ofrnxmr> Like, it doesnt even look like its a valid uro

<fiatdemise:matrix.org> See comments in PR from jeffro256 two weeks ago. "I don't like the format of <all addresses>?<all amounts>&<all messages>, etc. Take a look at Bitcoin Unlimited's (node for Bcash) multiple address URI scheme:
github.com/BitcoinUnlimited/BUIP/blob/master/086.md. The address, amount, and labels are next to each other for each output, which makes for more readable URIs. ..."
-
br-m
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Is there a replacement for that deprecated wiki?
-
br-m
<ofrnxmr> Yes, in docs/ on the monero repo
-
br-m
<ofrnxmr> Monero:?output looks wrong. I dont think you're supposed to start a uri with a ?
-
br-m
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Dunno, just added a comment to the pull request asking that.
