Vik gave the thumbs up to my suggestion of changing the text "Recommended wallet app" to "Recommended by CakeLabs", I think that's a move in the right direction

A website is centralized regardless.

The issue with the website isnt, to me, that they own it. But ideally, id say it should redirect to getmonero.org or show a link on homepage to "looking for the official site? Getmonero.org" or something

I say official because getmonero is not a for profit where who knows how huge the backer is. Monero.com was something to the tune of 400k.

And I believe it would be right on part of Cake/monerocom to do the right thing to address relevant concerns cited above, "point by point". It is for their own good scaling forward and for the good of this ecosystem to keep things intact (lest we want such concerns break the community apart & create animosity, which can hurt them & people who built Monero for what it is today - even if it sounds too exaggerated, its likely).

I do not know whats a good compromise, but whatever it is, they should help set the wheels in motion in the most honest way possible.

On subject of coingecko, I also reject their questionable "in your face", priority listing lol.

2. Open a pr after you've been contacted about it, asking for priority placement
