I thought my drive crashed since it quit out and it unmounted (couldn't mount until after a reboot for whatever reason). thought it fried it there for a second but now I'm able to start syncing up with the new transactions.. pruning only took me 5 days according to my terminal emulator lol

Hi I'm boog from the proposal, thanks for your feedback, I just wanted to say that a lot of work has already been done integrating bits of the monero code base in rust so I will not be starting from scratch.

I have spent the last couple months studying and building out bits of monero in rust like the database which is on my GitHub, network types and epee encoding which I will be releasing soon. I have also implemented verification of post Rct amounts (boro-sigs and bulletproof(+)) which I might release to show but I only implemented them to help me understand them better not to actually get used

I guess that still doesn't address 10X

almost 9 years of code legacy and numerous hardforks that all must be reimplemented. It's not just "Ring signatures (MLSAG, CLSAG)" as it says in CCS

just syncing from scratch will require tons of code
