I did install the monero gui app fpr a quick review before I delve into VMs etc. I did get synchronized and wanted to test the mining feature. Since it allows p2pool I decided to try my luck there and I have left it running for a couple of days now. When I type status in the log window at some point it says "not mining" while the status says mining at a low hash

rate. Which is it?

I thought it may be due to me not opening any ports since everything runs on the same computer but I wanted to make sure, before opening random ports on my main machine.
