I have a Samsung SD card running a pruned node for > a year now. 0 corruptions.

And ive OOM termux, and had it force closed by the os plenty of times. Never had an issue with corrupted db on android

But yeah, its always possible. Id assume if its repetitive its likely a bad SD card

My tablet has 2.7gb ram and will OOM if I do anything else on the same device. Last OOM 6 days ago :P

There are s few cases where the binaries simply dont run. Huawei p20 for example. And iirc an issue with graphene

SBC (or small form factor PC) with NVME is the way to go, I think

Android TV boxes and again, android mobile devices work with ssd storage as well

External ssd should work out ofnthe box with my script, provided there (isnt also an SD card installed)

I've tried manual setup my daily driver phone with a usb3 nvme ssd, and I couldnt access it from termux. And even if that works, you still have to deal with supplying power

Thought about making a custom adapter, that allows data to an external, while also allowing charging the phone

But that's only worth the time if there is some demand for it

there are some off the shelf 'pass-thru' type things which regulate when your phone is charged / allowed to discharge (to extend battery life) - would be ideal for this

Personally, my Samsung automatically limits to 80% full charge with a built in setting

And my android TV already has external power + extra USB ports. The dongle for using a phone etc with an external hard drive, is more useful than just an external hard drive
