or, if it's a VPS or something, send an e-mail with login details after 1st confirmation

so it's almost always possible to make user experience smooth

my coffee shop offers 0-conf payments. i have trained the staff to use social engineering tactics to force customers to wait for 1 conf, e.g. "dropping the plastic cup accidentally" , "writing their name incorrectly so they have to do it again". by the time the theatrics have played out, we've already got 1 conf and the customer is none the wiser
