I'm having trouble with my XMRig config

I found out how to choose specific threads to mine on

but I can't find how to make it keep changing threads so it dosen't stress a single thread at all times

That's the opposite of what you want

And also, there's no harm to the cpu by pinning threads

I want it to use a single thread, but keep chaning which thread it's using

As lont as there's good cooling, the cpu doesn't really "wear out"

What benefit do you expect from constantly changing this single thread, exactly?

I found that it helps with thermals

when I use a single static thread my cpu gets to 75c

but when it's dynamic I hover around 60

The only reason it (slightly) helps is because it's actually killing the mining performance

why does the OS usually make each thread switch between CPU cores every 5 seconds or so?

(not on xmrig, xmrig seems to be locking the thread to a specific core)

If this is a Master's thesis, you have a ton of work ahead of you. You _must do a comprehensive literature review.

But when I searched for "Blockchain" AND "Machine Learning", the main papers and Thesis that showed up where on Bitcoin and Etherium price predictions. Of those, I have read tons of them as they are plenty and have tons of info.

There are several papers that try to do price prediction of Monero. Usually to compare with other coins. I think researchers do it since Monero has a longer price series than most (almost 9 years long now)

IMO, the best explanation for Bitcoin being #1 in marketcap is people believe Bitcoin is serviceable as a Store of Value. They haven't considered the issue of halvings and monopoly without a monopolist.

They use backward empirical data of Bitcoin's price to justify their belief instead of considering forward looking fundamentals of Bitcoin's protocol
