Hey gang, I need to build a debug build of monerod. I'm just going to do it inside docker to preserve my sanity w.r.t C++ dependencies.

Any tips on how to set the build target to "debug" instead of "release"?

the web and the desktop version supposedly have the same settings. the things I want to see are so far not present on any of the platforms

They've had an issue open about multiselect for years. A dev even questioned whether this feature is even needed (brain damage?)

Tauri is basically just a lightweight wrapper around tokio + webkitgtk (on Linux at least). Unless you're on an embedded system or high performance server, GUI won't take up that many resources. But in that case, why use a GUI at all?

So we can have Operating System totally made in JS running browsers made in JS so it can run more JS from site, that would be the best!

jeffro256[m]: That won't happens I think, you are going to lose the JS advantage of multiplatform, if you compile JS into machine code for X CPU (or a specific CPU for that purpose) then it won't be multiplatform anymore.

I guess someone could make an actual compiler that compile the JS crust into AMD64 or ARM or whatever.

Intel made one of such CPU back in the old day (it was not JS per say but the idea was there) And it was so slow
