kappa.lol/ucrkPo

br-m
<ufo808:matrix.org> I think it's interesting news for monero
-
Cindy_

-
br-m
<ufo808:matrix.org> Cindy_: I guess so
-
Cindy_

<martin.monero:matrix.org> Hi all, what’s the easiest way to buy Monero right now? Any suggestions?
-
Cindy_
on haveno retoswap
-
Cindy_
if you want the easiest EASIEST way, CEX is
-
Cindy_
but that's KYC mostly
-
br-m
<redsh4de:matrix.org> @martin.monero:matrix.org: Eigenwallet or Trocador if you already have crypto
-
BlueyHealer
Cindy_, or KYC exchange for BTC/LTC, then swap it, that's more widely available.
-
Cindy_
i actually have a question related to this
-
Cindy_
there are services that convert cryptocurrencies to fiat for you
-
Cindy_
but are there services that do vice-versa?
-
Cindy_
for accepting fiat
-
BlueyHealer
What are the examples of what you're talking about?
-
BlueyHealer
In general, I just get the impression that the seller is always supposed to get at least less anonymity and privacy than the buyer.
-
Cindy_
BlueyHealer: y'know how companies accept cryptocurrency donations
-
Cindy_
they use a intermediate that converts crypto to fiat
-
br-m
<martin.monero:matrix.org> Monero isn’t available on CEX.IO (
cex.io/buy-monero-xmr
-
br-m
<martin.monero:matrix.org> ).
-
br-m
<martin.monero:matrix.org> I’ll check other options:
-
br-m
-
BlueyHealer
Yeah, but the one that accepts the converted things has to get KYCd, no?
-
Cindy_
yes
-
BlueyHealer
IDK that just feels wrong on some level
-
Cindy_
but this shouldn't be KYCd :P
-
Cindy_
because it's fiat to crypto
-
BlueyHealer
Ah, I realized at least one asymmetrical thing I was feeling off about: chargebacks. Like, if a payer decides to do one, the middleman would have no way of providing one. When the buyer is the one handling crypto, this wouldn't be something that can happen.
-
snake
i think it's worth looking into whether that could be disputed or not. i know some chargebacks can be disputed. and if a user donates, it gets converted into crypto, it's paid to the person accepting that donation or whatever, then there might be a way to dispute their chargeback since details on the delivery and agreements could be provided
-
Cindy_
BlueyHealer: obviously if you do a chargeback, you're a dick
-
br-m
-
Cindy_
usually people who do chargebacks on a donations are those who want the clout and credit but none of the money to spend on it
-
Cindy_
(except those who had their credit card stolen or something)

<niyid:matrix.org> Hi everyone 👋
-
br-m
<niyid:matrix.org> I’ve released an Android Monero wallet app.
-

"License: [Add your license here]"
-
br-m
<stormyyy:stormyyy.xyz> @niyid:matrix.org: care to use more whitespace?
-
BlueyHealer
Cindy_, not denying. My point was not on the lack of morality, but rather on how it would be a headache for the middleman and no one wants that.
-
Cindy_
your app is literally a modified version of
github.com/m2049r/xmrwallet
-
Cindy_
which btw, you didn't even change the java class names on
-
BlueyHealer
XD
-
BlueyHealer
kowalabearhugs, a Christmas miracle!
-
Cindy_
there's two directories in the src directory
-
Cindy_
-
Cindy_
hardcoded bugfender API key
-
Cindy_
"enableUIEventLogging(this)"
-
br-m
<niyid:matrix.org> Thanks a lot! I will make those updates. I don't use BugFender anymore
-
Cindy_
-
Cindy_
chagenow API key here
-
br-m
<niyid:matrix.org> I'm yet to integrate ChangeNOW.
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> "AI" slop, everything was probably hallucinated
-
Cindy_
but why leave your API key here
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> stolen email too
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> neeyeed[at]gmail.com is located in around 14 data Breaches
-
br-m
<niyid:matrix.org> It's not a real API key. That has not yet been handled.
-
br-m
-
Cindy_
you should probably make it more clear that it's a fork of m2049r's xmrwallet
-
Cindy_
i wouldn't care if that project's code was like.. a minority in yours
-
Cindy_
but rn, it's about 98% of your project
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> > This build was entirely fashioned by Claude Sonnet 4.5 and I merely guided it. I want that piece of information noted.
-
Cindy_
niyid: this is a really bad PR, ngl
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> mental disability of severe form
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> please cut your internet cable
-
Cindy_
first of all, you made a lot of things that are out of scope of the PR (which is trying to build based on a newer version of NDK and boost
-
Cindy_
like adding a CONTRIBUTORS.MD file
-
Cindy_
and also... why did you include your build directory
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> And please do redeem too
-
Cindy_
-
Cindy_
what tf is this qr code
-
Cindy_
a random QR code just sitting there
-
br-m
<niyid:matrix.org> LOL @ stolen email
-
plowsof
-
Cindy_
okay i just decoded the QR code
-
Cindy_
it's.... your wallet address
-
Cindy_
why did you put your own wallet address in someone else's project, that sounds kinda rude
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> plowsof: the latter is such a fucking yap
-
Cindy_
-
Cindy_
this is the QR code i'm referring to in the PR (monero_wallet.png)
-
plowsof
Merry christmas 🌲
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> Merry scanmas
-
Cindy_
when i contribute to a monero project, i don't just sneak a QR code of my wallet in the project :P
-
Cindy_
and hope they don't see it in the PR
-
br-m
<gan:skhron.org> scammas*
-
Cindy_
also why do you keep force-pushing
-
br-m
<basses:matrix.org> need to be reported on playstore > <@niyid:matrix.org> Hi everyone 👋
-
Cindy_
basses: who will even find it
-
Cindy_
the name and picture has nothing to do with monero, people will think it's junk
-
br-m
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> @basses:matrix.org: Play store is full of garbage anyway (i doubt they care)
