How much does koe earn for attending MRL meetings every month? 20 hours for monerokon slides? Would the community benefit more if those 24 hours billed where spent on say, implementing bulletproofs ++ or the too ambitious Wallet PoC?

The skilled labour rates for meetings are justified because he is able to answer questions / bounce ideas off of people (that another person couldn't) (so my complaint here can be disregarded). I am just nit-picking trying to be fair. And would like monerokon funded things to be in a separate ccs

by the time the daemon synced it had synced 53,316 blocks

at the end of syncing I got a message that I had synced 22,972 blocks at 2.146 blocks/sec

not sure of the exact time taken but the sync speed closely corresponds to the 22k block amount

Hmmm, not sure. Looks to me like one of those cases where synching kind of restarts internally, and my code begins again to count from zero

Maybe that could be improved but case is that it's almost impossible to debug: It's a question of timing, and as soon as you break to check things in the debugger you modify the situation

the assembler code that is currently used for wallet scanning could also be used for daemon sync

it wasn't used because there is a risk of a chain split if the two different libraries come to a different result, but using it for historical sync should be fine

6 core 12 threads, sync after checkpoints was mostly 15% cpu going to 20% sometimes and 25% peaks

You should be able to copy/paste the wallet file itself

i believed so, we just followed the steps to recover from a hardware wallet

can't you just copy the wallet file from the other laptop?

please try the following steps again: Open GUI main menu -> "Create new wallet from hardware" and then "Restore a wallet from device", set the restore date and wait for it to refresh. Make sure to accept everything on the Trezor.
